Please fill out the form on my CONTACT page and I will get back to you within 48 hours to set up your pre-session phone consultation and book your shoot.
Each client is important to me. To ensure that you receive the individual attention you deserve, I accept a limited number of clients each month, so book early! When possible, fall/winter sessions should be booked in the summer, and spring/summer sessions should be booked in the winter.
Your photos should reflect your personal style. During your phone consultation, we will talk about you and what you like. I’ll offer suggestions, but you definitely want to be yourself. Families should coordinate but not wear identical outfits. Steer clear of trendy logos and clothes that make you uncomfortable. A Google or Pinterest search for “senior photo outfits” or “family photo outfits” will give you plenty of ideas. Don’t forget about accessories, jewelry, and shoes, and if you choose to wear heels, be sure to bring comfortable walking shoes to change into since we will be on location. There are some general rules to follow, but sometimes breaking the rules in the right way has great results!
These are among my favorite photo sessions – I love teenagers! My goal is to help seniors feel comfortable, have fun, and express their unique, God-given qualities in their photos. Nothing makes me happier than seeing a senior excited about their photos and eager to share them with friends and family.
The following are frequently asked questions about senior portraits. Be sure to read the other FAQ sections as well.
Part of the “Texas life” is getting used to our unpredictable weather. Don’t worry! Overcast, cloudy days can make beautiful photos, and we will only reschedule if there is more than a 50% chance of rain or if it’s below 45 degrees. I will notify you ASAP if there is a weather situation that will prevent us from shooting, and we will reschedule your session for the first available date.
Approximately two weeks following your session you will be provided with a private online viewing gallery. At that time, we will schedule an ordering appointment, which can take place in person or on the phone, to put together the perfect package for your needs.
Your images and prints will be ready approximately two weeks from the time you place your order and will be delivered either by mail or in person. Digital images will be provided on a USB drive and can possibly be ready sooner. Some custom orders may take longer.
I only release fully edited images. Editing is part of my process and my style, and it’s a big part of why you hired me. I edit to enhance your natural beauty and ensure you and your surroundings look the very best, not to change your appearance or make you not look like you. I shoot photos in a format that is intended to be edited; your images straight out of my camera simply are not yet what they should be. With my graphic design background, I’ve been editing photos for professional photographers long before becoming one myself, and it’s a skill I’ve developed over many years. I will take hundreds of photos during your session, which I will mindfully consider, then fully retouch the images that represent the heart of your photo shoot and make you shine. This takes time, patience, and attention to detail, and I won’t give you anything less than a fully finished portrait.
Please do! I want you to show off your photos! In addition to your print-quality images, you will be provided with web-quality images that can be easily shared on social media. And if you follow me on FACEBOOK or INSTAGRAM, there's a good chance you'll get an advance sneak peek of your photos!
At this time, I accept payment by cash or online through PayPal. An invoice and contract/print release will be provided. Shipping charges may be applied to mail orders. Rush processing is available for an additional fee. Please CONTACT me if you have additional questions.
